Tools

Edit – The Edit Tool enables one to visually change the duration, position and pitch of a note, as well as use Multiple Selection.

With the selection of the Edit tool, for changing note length you simply place the cursor on the edge of the note, after which the cursor changes into a horizontal arrow, and you can move note edges back and forth. To change note position, move the cursor sideways to the middle of the note and hold down the left button of the mouse. This allows the capture of a note, letting you reposition it, and change its pitch and start-time. In exactly the same way you can move a selected group of notes about.

Delete Notes – This tool is designed for deleting musical notes. All notes over which the cursor moves when the left button of the mouse is held down are deleted.

Create Notes – New notes can be created with this tool. Notes are created by holding down the left button of the mouse with the cursor positioned over the Edit Area. You can also draw the notes with the cursor. Properties of these notes can be modified using the New Note Properties dialog.

Play Tool - In this mode you can play notes located under the cursor. Keep left mouse button down and move the vertical cursor over notes.

Merge Notes - In this mode, if one musical note is placed on another note during editing, the two notes are merged. The resulting note is assigned the loudness of the higher of the two notes; other attributes are taken from the note that was moved.
